At the beginning of summer 2001 «Sosnovy Bor» became
a sanatorium, licensed for receiving patients with an open medical certificate.
A patient can go directly from a hospital ward to the sanatorium, having
got a permit paid for by social insurance fund. Here he undergoes a rehabilitation
course of treatment, which multiplies the hospital treatment course effect.
There are all conditions for complex rehabilitation
of patients with myocardial infarction, strokes, for those who have undergone
operations of aorta-coronary shunting and cardiac aneurysm, billon angioplasty
of coronary vessels, ulcerative disease of the stomach and duodenum operation,
operation of gallbladder removal.
There is a rehabilitation department for cardiac patients,
an intensive therapy ward. They were open due to the excellent technical
equipment base of the sanatorium, a well-developed functional diagnostics
department and highly professional medical staff.
