Children's sanatorium «Kolos» is a branch of the sanatorium
«Sosnovy bor» since 1999. Together they make a united institution.
Its well knows that sun; air and water
are best friends for children's health. In the sanatorium «Kolos» air
is 17,5 hectares of picturesque forest-park area, where a landowner's
countryseat used to be, a broad-leaved forest, the atmosphere of which
is good for children with cardio-vascular disturbances. Cascades of ponds
with wild ducks present water. Forest paths lead to small quiet beaches,
filled with children's laughter and oar's splashing. Harmonious nature
of the middle zone, up-to-date medical equipment, professionalism and
kindness of the medical and nursing staff have already improved health
of hundreds of children.
Thirteen departments of the sanatorium
are first category ones. Among them are –

- therapeutic stomatology,
- function,
- ultrasonic and laboratory diagnostics,
- physiotherapy,
- massage,
- medical exercises...
All the year round children with thoracic
organs disturbances, disorders of alimentary canal, nervous system and
diseases of the skeleton come here.
The sanatorium houses 250 children. The
administration is concerned about the conditions of living. There are
suits for 2 to 4 persons with sparkling sanitary equipment. Children are
fed 6 times a day. Diets and gastronomical preferences are taken into
consideration. Fruits and vegetables are on the menu all the year round.
Balanced and high-calorie diet is just what a growing organism needs and
offered here.
